Elsham Golf Club

Meet the Directors/Trustees

The Directors/Trustees would like to introduce themselves, as not all members are aware of who they are, or indeed what their role is within Elsham Golf Club.

  • Tim Phipps - Chairman/Director/Trustee

I have been a member at Elsham since 1973, but despite these many years remain at best an average player. I lived in Elsham when growing up, and now reside in Owmby near Caistor. I am a solicitor with Mason Baggott and Garton Solicitors. I hope to bring my legal and analytical skills to the assistance of Elsham Golf Club and its members.

  • John Harris - Director/Trustee

I have been a member (on and off) since 2000 and have been fortunate to have represented the club in various teams and individual events over this time. Originally an Electrician I now find myself in various parts of the world as the Head of Business Development for a Certification Body working in the Energy Sector. I sit on various industry committees and working groups and hope to bring this experience and a pragmatic approach to assisting the Trustees.

  • Jane Evans – Director/Trustee

I joined Elsham Golf Club as a joint member with my husband Paul in 1993 and we thoroughly enjoy playing in the Ladies, Men’s and Mixed sections. My career has been secretarial/ administration based, having previously worked for Imperial Group and United biscuits. In 2007 I was lucky enough to be offered the job of Admin Assistant in the office at Elsham Golf Club working with Tim Hartley. I retired from this role in April this year, but during this time got to know many members and feel this experience has given me a unique insight into the working, running and needs of the club.

  • Jon Cook - Director/Trustee

I’ve played golf since early teens, previously as a member of Woodhall Spa, Grimsby and Tenby. On relocation to the area, I decided to join Elsham in 2008.

My working career was mainly in operational management within the Oil and Gas Industry, taking me to live and work in places home and abroad.

On my return, I relished the prospect of joining Elsham and continue to appreciate what the club has to offer, particularly the good all-year-round course conditions.

Having taken early retirement, I’m pleased to have been given the opportunity to support the members in this stewardship role.
