Team captain Cole Self was Cheshire’s star performer as he picked up 5 points out of 6, while James Clarke and Maxi Moore also had superb showings as they won a total of 4 points across three days.
Self said: “It feels amazing! We’ve had a lot of rough years coming 2nd in a few events locally, so it feels good to win.
“It’s a tricky course, it was really firm, so you had to think about what you were hitting off the tees. On 14, my playing partner holed a bunker shot, it was a close match, and I followed him in for two and that really got the game going.
“We came here with no expectations, so it’s unbelievable to win.”
